FUN TEA GARDEN / DYNAMIC CAFE Tuesday, June 10, 2008
Do you want to have freshly cooked dim sum with freshly peeled prawns? You should consider checking out this new dim sum shop called Fun Tea Garden in town, just opposite Pizza Hut, Prangin Mall. There are many varieties of food to choose from ranging from century eggs broth, dumplings, steamed buns of different fillings (Bao), deep fried prawn roll, egg custards, sesame glutinous rice balls, paper wrapped chicken, sweet vinegar pork legs, and many more. On top of these yummy choices, you can also order noodles such as fried hor fun, fried ee mee, fried fish bee hoon and so on. The dim sums would be served up to 12 noon but you can opt for their economy rice. The tea garden also provides many tasty dishes with rice up to 1am.

Supertanker Food Court (Pancakes) Saturday, August 25, 2007
Aki pancake is probably the most famous pancake stall in Penang. They are the ones that started the trend of having special fillings for their pancakes – chicken mayonnaise, seafood, peanut butter, kaya, meat floss, chocolate, and plenty more. For me, I prefer the original pancake with either banana or the sweet corn filling. They also offer the special open faced thin crust variety that they sell in packets of 6 pieces. Definitely something delicious to finish your meal, especially with a cup of “kopi-o kau” (thick black local coffee). And don't be surprised that both husband and wife have interesting tattoos on their arms and ...

PETALING STREET (CHINATOWN) MA ZHI Tuesday, June 10, 2008
I have came across a stall down in Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown (Petaling Street) selling a different version. Madam Tang has been selling these yummy desserts for years there. The Ma Zhi comes in different colors and flavors. You can have it original (RM3.50/box) or you can have the mix flavors (RM5/box). The flavors available are apple, banana, grape, kiwi, lemon, lychee, mango, orange, pineapple, ribena, strawberry, black glutinous rice, or pandan. With so many flavors available, it is up to your luck to taste what are the mixed flavors.

Northam Beach Cafe (Keropok Terengganu) Tuesday, January 02, 2007
Fancy some crunchy keropok (fish crackers). The keropok here is excellent. They are finely sliced, freshly fried upon your order and the keropok practically melts in your mouth. They taste even better when dipped into the sweet chilli sauce that comes with your order. This stall also serves oh chien (fried oysters) but I only give an average rating for it. Passable but not the best around.
