Bamboo Green Central Hotel (Vietnamese Food) Thursday, August 02, 2007
We were quite suprised at the quality of food served at the coffee house of this hotel. The noodles were in fact very delicious, with the beef being really tender. The price is reasonable too.

Hoi An Patisserie (French Pastries) & Cargo Club Restaurant (Mixed Vietnamese & Western) Thursday, August 02, 2007
Croissants, French pastries and coffee may not be something that one normally associates with Vietnam. But with her French heritage, it is not surprising to find a cozy outlet like the Hoi An Patisserie, where you can enjoy a delicious afternoon tea sitting on a terrace overlooking a canal. This place also doubles up as a restaurant serving a mixture of local and Western food. A nice place to unwind in the evening after visiting the historical Hoi An city.

Restaurant Seven (Vietnamese) Thursday, August 02, 2007
Looking for Vietnamese food at local prices? Restaurant Seven is the place to head to, just down the road from the Bamboo Green Central hotel. The food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Even on a weekday night, the place is packed with local Vietnamese. We had a variety of starters, all delicious of course, followed by a tasty seafood soup with noodles on the side (a bit like the Chinese steamboat). We were bursting at the seams after the meal!

Au Lac Restaurant (Vietnamese) Thursday, August 02, 2007
This is one of the most enjoyable meals we had in Danang. This restaurant is located right by the beach, has a very cozy ambience and the food is reasonably priced. A must try is their catfish salad – where the meat is ground to find paste and then fried till it becomes a crunchy floss. Their yam with meat feeling croquet and their grilled fish is just as delicious. Definitely one of our favourites!
