This is a chain of western food restaurant found throughout Bangkok. Food is reasonably tasty, price okay. Tried their ham fettucine and salmons steak (portion rather small).

Waraporn Salapao is a chain of timsum shops found in the more upmarket shopping malls in Bangkok. The interesting dish I found here is the bah chang (sticky rice dumpling) which has water chesnut, gingko and peanuts in it, apart from the usual mushroom, meat and salted duck egg yolk. Certainly very delicious, but a bit on the pricey shop. Guess we are paying for the environment too!

The Thai people seem to love sausages and meat balls. You can find an assortment of sausages in different meats, and in various sauces. The price is usually around 10baht a stick, if you get it from the street side hawker. They also like deep fried food, with all sorts of meat patties and fish cakes. Chose a variety and cost me around one USD.

Have always enjoyed the Phad Thai Koayteow (Thai Fried Broad Rice Noodles) and this stall presents it in a very different style. Each serving is individually wrapped in a cover of thinly fried egg. You can see from the photo how the noodles look before and after frying.
