 YAW’S ROAST & GRILL Tuesday, June 10, 2008
Have you heard of Yaw’s Roast & Grill before? Maybe this name is rather new to you but this western food corner used to be from one of the famous western food restaurants along Jalan Burmah in Penang many years ago. It was formerly called Top Top Snack Bar & Restaurant. The western food corner has been operating there for many years in a residential house. The taste for the food served has not change but the menu surely increased a lot. If you love to have some quiet moments in a nice and cozy place, spending some romantic moments as well in a dim lighted corner, do check out this place. The best is that you do not need to pay extra for whatever taxes that you normally pay in any other restaurants.

 Katz's Delicatessen Thursday, August 09, 2007
Legendary deli on the Lower East Side that assembles some of the most mouth-watering (and mouth-stretching) sandwiches in the city. That's half of my sandwich made with pastrami, a well-sliced cut of smoked beef, usually encrusted with peppercorns, on rye bread slathered with mustard ($12.95). Various pickled cucumbers (in the U.S., simply called pickles) are a traditional accompaniment.

Santa Fe Steak (Western Food) Thursday, August 02, 2007
This is a chain of western food restaurant found throughout Bangkok. Food is reasonably tasty, price okay. Tried their ham fettucine and salmons steak (portion rather small).

Hoi An Patisserie (French Pastries) & Cargo Club Restaurant (Mixed Vietnamese & Western) Thursday, August 02, 2007
Croissants, French pastries and coffee may not be something that one normally associates with Vietnam. But with her French heritage, it is not surprising to find a cozy outlet like the Hoi An Patisserie, where you can enjoy a delicious afternoon tea sitting on a terrace overlooking a canal. This place also doubles up as a restaurant serving a mixture of local and Western food. A nice place to unwind in the evening after visiting the historical Hoi An city.
